Admission to Tunica Academy is competitive, and all prospective families are asked to complete several steps as part of the application process.  Admission decisions are based on a combination of academic achievement, age-appropriate testing or screening, and personal qualities that reflect our school's values, including integrity, motivation, enthusiasm, compassion, and a desire to learn.

Tunica Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available because of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and athletic and other school-administered programs.  

Each applicant is carefully evaluated by the Admissions Committee to determine his or her ability to successfully handle the demands of the school’s academic programs. We do this through an established process:

1. Schedule a campus tour- The tour is an opportunity for you and your student to see our campus, meet some of our faculty and administration, and learn more about Tunica Academy.  It's also a great time for us to get to know you and your family.

2. Complete the New Student Application- Complete the application as early as possible. We do set limits on the number of students per grade.  The date of application submission determines the order of consideration. The idea time to apply is the February preceding the year in which you wish to enroll, but we do consider all applications as they arrive.  This application can be found under the admissions tab on the home page.

3.  Submit the Application Fee: This is a one-time, non-refundable payment required for each new applicant.

4. Take appropriate screenings or tests- There are required entrance tests to determine academic ability and placement.  Students applying to preschool and Kindergarten will take screeners.  First through twelfth grade students will take benchmark tests in math and reading.
